University of Seville Profile

Founded in the XVI century, The University of Seville has more than 30 centres. It is a higher education institute situated in Andalusia in southern Spain. The Electronic Technology Group (GTE) that belongs to the Department of Electronic Engineering is a research group qualified with the degree of excellence by the Andalusian Government. The GTE currently has 25 researchers in the field of Electronic Technology of which 5 have post-doctorate qualifications and is directed to knowledge transfer of industrial research in the power electronics field. GTE is focused on applications such as renewable energies, efficiency and energy quality.


The group has significant experience in the power electronics field, and is involved in the industrial application of the design and development of power converters applied to renewable energy technologies. Research interests include distributed power generation and the integration of renewable energy sources.


In addition, GTE hold expertise in modulation techniques for multilevel inverters and their application to power electronic systems for renewable-energy and storage systems.
